Richard Liu is a visual artist and storyteller based in Rotterdam, Netherlands. His artistic media include photography, archives, performance art, non-fiction short films, and recipe collections. He focuses on the identity, emotional and spiritual affiliations of local and cross-border migrants, and the liminal states within spaces. In his practice, he navigates through various forms of borders, speculatively searching for traces of war and colonial history, while also delving into personal and collective memories through the creation of food and collection of recipes.
